Anil from Ankaa spent quality time meeting the rowing fraternity at the Australian National Championships held at Perth from March 7th to 11th. Our two agents Rowfit (who manage the Ankaa range) and Jeff Sykes who looks after the New Wave range assisted Anil in getting feedback from rowers on the ever increasing Ankaa range of rowing shoes.

Ankaa Rowing Shoes was present at the New Zealand National Rowing Championships again this year. APS is now on his way back from the event. Ankaa collected feedback on their shoes as well as mingled with the rowing community at Lake Karapiro.

We have appointed a new agent in New Zealand and will be announcing this separately.

Ankaa to visit the Aussie Champs in Australia in March 2012

The Australia Rowing Championship is emerging as a popular rowing event. Our Managing Director Anil Lamba will be attending the event from 5th to 11th March 2012 to be held at the Perth Rowing Course.

Ankaa will be displaying and meeting customers at the ROWFIT stand.

We have had a great past year selling in Australia and have an ever growing list of satisfied customers. We also have a good number of resellers of our shoes in Australia. Apart from our regular range of rowing shoes, we will be promoting Adjustable Heel Shoes range and the New Wave rowing shoes. The purpose of our visit is as always to interact with rowers and get feedback as well as to keep abreast of the market trends.

Ankaa to visit the NZ Rowing Championships in 2012

The N Z National Rowing Championships will be held at Lake Karapiro from 14 February 2012 to 18th February 2012. Our rowing shoes are well accepted and used in New Zealand and this is a not to be missed event for us at Ankaa. Our Managing Director Anil Lamba will be personally representing Ankaa and will be available to meet with visitors at the KIRS tent.

The 2011 Maadi Cup Regatta is underway here in Karapiro, NZ. Maadi Cup is the New Zealand Secondary Schools Rowing Championships where over 1900 pupils from 120 schools compete for the Maadi Cup. The Maadi Cup kicks off 28th March and goes till 2nd April 2011.

The event is the largest school rowing evernt in Southern Hemisphere.

Aanka Rowing Shoes is proud to attend, and it's a great opportunity for us to chat with coaches, students, parents and all those involved with rowing from around New Zealand. We love to hear your feedback about our shoes, and to show off our new innovations.

Ankaa Attends the Australia Rowing Championships and Inter State Regatta 2011 in Adelaide

The event is underway and we are here (as we are with most rowing events) to be part of it. The Australian Rowing Championships are being held between the 6th and 13th of March 2011 here at West Lakes, Adelaide. Prominent rowers participating in the event include Drew Ginn, Duncan Free, David Crawshay and Scott Brennan, so this promises to be an action filled competition.

Ankaa is displaying at our distributor PaintWorks’ stand and our focus this time around is to promote our new range of adjustable rowing shoes. Hand crafted from the finest materials, these shoes are an excellent buy for rowing clubs due to their flexibility in terms of fitting onto different foot sizes. This means that a club can hold a generic pair of shoes for rowers with different foot sizes.

Ankaa has been a pioneer in the introduction of adjustable rowing shoe technology in the rowing sector over the years and we are constantly trying to upgrade and increase the performance of our rowing shoes. One of our main reasons to attend rowing events is to interact with existing and prospective users of our shoes to collect feedback and exchange our knowledge. Word Rowing Coaches' Conference a Great Success

Our Managing Director Anil Lamba has just returned from his visit to the World Rowing Coaches' Conference held in Slough, UK between the 20th to 23rd of January 2011. The theme of the conference was FINDING THE EDGE – TALENT AND TECHNOLOGY .

Anil spent these days interacting with rowing coaches, boat builders and from many other backgrounds. Ankaa Rowing Shoes, as hoped and expected, stood out from the crowd and were accepted well with the coaches in attendance.

The feedback received on the new sole of the New Wave rowing shoes stood out and we are pleased with the rewards of our efforts here. We do think our attitude of constant chasing for feedback of our products has paid off. Based on the positive reception of senior members of the global community at the World Rowing Coaches Conference, Ankaa has decided to develop and launch this sole in the entire New Wave size range. We'll keep you posted in this.

Anil also found that a lot of our bulk buyers at the conference appreciated the fact that we are able to print their logos (on a minimum order of 25 pairs and at a nominal price of US$1.50 per pair).

Anil Visits the World Rowing Coaches' Conference 2011 in London

Anil Lamba, Managing Director of Ankaa Rowing Shoes will be attending the World Rowing Coaches' Conference 2011, to be held at the Copthorne Hotel in Slough/Windsor, London between 20th Jan – 23rd Jan 2011.

Anil's interest in attending this conference is from the technical standpoint. The theme of the conference is FINDING THE EDGE – TALENT AND TECHNOLOGY.

Topics to be covered during the conference are Coaching Systems - Finding and developing talent in Rowing, Coach in the Spotlight, History of Rowing and Talent Identification & Development.

“We hope to add to our knowledge as well as exchange ideas and discuss trends from within the rowing industry,” says Anil. Apart from attending sessions, Anil will also be interacting with boat builders, team managers and other rowing equipment manufacturers from around the world.

The World Rowing Coaches' conference also coincides with the launch of Ankaa Rowing Shoes’ New Wave rowing shoes in the UK.

THE ANKAA ROWING SHOES TEAM TO VISIT THE WORLD ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS AT LAKE KARAPIRO, NEW ZEALAND FROM 30TH OCTOBER TO 7TH NOVEMBER 2010

Excitement is building for the World Rowing Championships this year, and we're looking forward to being there. We'll be attending the championships and will be meeting with our clients who will be traveling to New Zealand from all corners of the world.

We will be available at our agent KIRS www.kirs.co.nz stand during the period 30th October to 7th November for meetings with visitors. KIRS (Kiwi International Rowing Skiffs) have been involved with rowing over the past 20 years and we at Ankaa are proud of our association with them. KIRS have been instrumental in introducing the Ankaa brand of rowing shoes in Australasia and a part of our growth. Naturally, they only promote the best brands associated with their world famous boats and we are privileged to be their chosen choice of rowing shoes.

Ankaa Rowing Visits the Rowing World Cup 2010 in Munich, Germany

ANKAA ROWING SHOES TEAM VISITED THE ROWING WORLD CUP 2010 AT THE OLYMPIA REGATTA COURSE, GERMANY FROM 18TH TO 20TH JUNE 2010.

This was an exciting and informative visit to the Rowing World Cup 2010 at the Olympia Regatta Course in Munich. Ankaa Rowing Shoes has been attending major rowing events worldwide over the past 20 years and this was one of the events to happen in 2010. The Rowing World Cup 2010 gave us a great opportunity to meet users of rowing shoes. We also met with our clients who had traveled to Germany from different corners of the world to attend.

We were working out of our Principals stand – New Wave (www.newwave.de) during the period. New Wave have been involved with rowing over many years and we at Ankaa are proud of our association with them. New Wave have been instrumental in introducing the Ankaa supported New Wave rowing shoes worldwide and have been a vital part of our growth. New Waves reputation in the rowing industry is immense and they showcase and sell the best brands. We are privileged to be one of their main vendors. The New Wave and Ankaa Shoes range of rowing shoes were prominently displayed.

During the Rowing World Cup we met several visitors including professional and amateur rowers who shared their experiences with rowing shoe usage.

At Ankaa, we have always taken feedback from rowers and others associated with rowing seriously. We are of the opinion that it is in our best interest to upgrade and modify our shoes based on customer feedback. We spoke to a broad spectrum of visitors including student rowers and boat builders.

Australian Rowing Championships 2010 at Nagambie, Victoria, Australia

ANKAA ROWING ATTENDS THE AUSTRALIA ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010 AT NAGAMBIE, VICTORIA FROM 5TH TO 11TH MARCH

Our team made a visit to the Australia Rowing Championships at Nagambie Lakes in Victoria in March 2010. We have been attending this event regularly over the years with a view to interact with customers, rowers and remain part of the Australian rowing scene. This was a well attended and organized event and we got to meet a lot of our current and potential rowing shoe customers. Our range of Ankaa rowing shoes, including the New Wave were also on display.

We were working alongside our agents Designer Paint Works Australia (www.designerpaintworks.com.au) between the 5th and 11th March.

Being at their stand has always been a pleasure and we have shared many years of business association together. In fact Designer Paint Works have been instrumental in bringing our rowing shoes to Australia and helping us with our growth in the Australasian region. We have enjoyed their patronage over the years and they have provided us with valuable inputs which we in turn have used to improve on our rowing shoes.

Nagambie was busy and attended by professional and amateur rowers. It was great to meet so many of them and learn from their experiences.

We at Ankaa Rowing take feedback from the rowing community extremely seriously and are sensitive to rowers foot problems. After all, getting to hear things from the horses mouth about our shoes gives us a real picture.
